Why do I still bother with CDs? Most artists spend a great deal of time, effort and resources to play, record, engineer, mix and master our songs. We spend hours making sure the feel of the music is expressed in the way we want it on the record. In my case, I choose to  have my work  stored on CDs and played over a good sound system, with the hope that what comes out is as good as what went in. No CD player? Well, you can get the same by downloading the WAV files from Songs.  Personally, I have always been a fan of CDs and vinyls for another reason - the liner notes. The artwork and the writings. The physical product represents an extension of the music that lies within. The cover is the face of the album, to be dwelled upon.  In a digital world of bytes and battery life, I value the treasured experience of unfolding the liner notes, imagining the message of the cover, reading what's written and discovering the people who created the album.
