About being touched by the land and the people.

Lyrics

I was not born here, not even in the country before
I am from another place
She is deeply etched in me, down to the core
Everywhere I go she leaves a trace
Sometimes I call to her when I’m in the dark
Sometimes I feel I should get on that plane
Then there were moments that had me feel and learn
That would tug at my heart and lessen the yearn
Like the time I was drenched in music on a farm
And those hellos from that walker on the path
Like that one time we spent in the dessert
That emptiness there stole my heart
The land called to me, I felt the earth
So here now I belong, here my story starts.
